Uhhhhhm… whoops? Probably nobody else in the tubes would follow up two of their most linked up posts with almost two months of silence.
But quite a bit has happened in the last two months, such as starting a new job and my freelancing email account having a catastrophic fail right as I was attempting my return to freelance work. Suffice to say my routine was thrown into a tailspin, I spent too much time working on other projects (foreshadow!) and adjusting to a hell of a (temporary) commute.

I’m pretty sure it’s borderline illegal for an Apple geek with a website to not write about the applications they use frequently, so here goes. And, since I always find myself recommending programs to friends when they make the switch now I can just point them here.
And since I’m a total voyeur when it comes to other people’s writing on what they’re using (or reading), I figured it’s only fair to turn the spotlight on myself. Just about all of these apps I use at least once a week, and I omitted the obvious such as iTunes, iPhoto, Calculator, TextEdit and Word. I broke my list down to three main functions; Communication, Utilities, and Development. Listed alphabetically since I’d be up all night trying to order them by any kind of rank.

For just about as long as I could read, I’ve been a voracious reader. I don’t know if it’s a cause of my life-long insomnia or a reaction to it, but I’ve been staying up reading all night for as long as I can remember. Or maybe it’s because I didn’t have cable television growing up.
But I probably picked it up from my mom, herself an avid reader who used to drag my sister and I to the library every week while all the other kids watched their fancy-pants cable TV.

Looks like hiring time is upon us, because over the past two weeks or so I’ve gotten four unsolicited emails (three from recruiters, one from a “hiring manager”) asking if I’d be interested in setting up a phone interview.
Every one of them spends at least a paragraph describing what an exciting, fast-paced environment their company is, with a diverse client portfolio developing custom dynamic interactivity-driven blah blah blah web sites.

Wow. I’m really kind of speechless. Right now, I am feeling old.
Flipping around through the channels, I happened across the “MTV Hits“ channel (included in the package I pay Time Warner Cable extra for so I can get The National Geographic, BBC, and Fox Soccer Channels). This is the lost MTV channel that actually, you know, plays music.
